Backyard Easter Egg Hunt...

Cory and I decided to hide a few eggs in our backyard for Landrie to find on Saturday since the weather was unsure for Sunday and we really wanted her to get to hunt some outside. So Landrie and I ran to Wal-Mart to grab a few things and Cory went out back and hid them all for her. This was the first year Landrie has gotten to hunt eggs, her first easter she was only 9 months old and just started crawling that actual day. Second Easter which was last year we were on Vacation in Rockport and had planned to do an egg hunt on the beach but mother nature had other plans. A nice cold front came through and made highs in the low 50's with wind, clouds and NO sun so of course it was too cold. But this year I was determined she hunt eggs one way or another. At first she didn't completely understand the whole gist of finding as many eggs as you can as fast as you can and then opening them at the end. She was finding them, picking them up and immediately opening them up to see what was inside. We told each other, "uh oh, she won't stand a chance tomorrow at the family Easter egg hunt where older kids will be hunting as well" lol. So we had to do a quick hunting egg lesson with her but by the end she had gotten it down and wasn't opening each egg as soon as she found it. It was so much fun to watch and help her find them she was loving it. Oh and excuse the big ole' Easter basket. It's was the only one we had out, my Mom had just given it to her, I hadn't gotten her smaller ones out of the closet yet. lol

And she's off...
(Oh how I HATE full sun and taking pics!)

Stopping to check out the "sprinkle egg", lol she calls glitter sprinkles
